Insta-Flow Pressure Gauge Specifications

Pressure Gauges

TOLERANCES:

Accuracy - 2" Dial: More Info - Accuracy ± 1.5% of FULL Scale (Grade B)
Accuracy - 4" Dial: ± 1% of FULL Scale (Grade 1A)
Accuracy - 6" Dial: ± 1% of FULL Scale (Grade 1A)
ACCURACY

close Accuracy is defined as the conformity of an indication to its true value. Accuracy is ± (plus or minus) a stated value across the full range. For example, a 0 to 160 psi pressure gauge that has an accuracy of ±1½% would mean that the gauge can be off no more than ±2.4 psi (160 x 0.015) anywhere within its range.

Over-Range Capability: More Info - Over-Range Capability 25% Over Range
OVER-RANGE CAPABILITY

close
The Over-Range Capability is how much pressure over the gauge's range that the gauge can be exposed to for a short period of time without damaging the instrument. For example, a 0 to 160 psi gauge can be exposed to 200 psi, (160 x 1.25), for a short period of time (less than a minute), without causing damage to the gauge.

cse
Repeatability: More Info - Repeatability ± 0.5% of Full Scale
REPEATABILITY

close
The Repeatablity of a pressure gauge is a measure of how consistantly a gauge will be at a given pressure. For example, a 0 to 160 psi gauge with a repeatablity of ± 0.5% of full scale, would mean that when a pressure of 80 psi is applied to the gauge several times, the operator will get the same reading ± 0.8 psi (160 x 0.005).

cse
Linearity: More Info - Linearity ± 0.5% of Full Scale
LINEARITY

close The linearity of a pressure gauge is a measure of how constant the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of the gauge is. For example, a 0 to 160 psi pressure gauge with a linearity of ± 0.5% of full scale, would mean that the difference in the error of the gauge can be no more than 0.8 psi (160 x 0.005) anywhere else within it's range. So, if the gauge is off by 0.6 psi at one point, it could be off no more than 1.4 psi (0.6 + 0.8) at any other point within it's range.

cse
Hysteresis: More Info - Hysteresis ± 0.5% of Full Scale
HYSTERESIS

close Hysteresis of a pressure gauge is the difference between the pressure reading taken while increasing pressure, and the pressure reading taken while decreasing pressure, expressed as a percentage of the pressure full scale. For example, a 0 to 160 psi pressure gauge with a hysteresis of ± 0.5% of full scale, would mean that the the gauge reading when going up to a pressure could not be more than 0.8 psi (160 x 0.005) different than the gauge reading when coming down to that same pressure.

cse
Process Temperature Range: More Info - Process Temperature Range -4° to 176°F (-20° to 80°C)
PROCESS TEMPERATURE RANGE

close This is the temperature range of the product being measured which the pressure gauge is able to operate. For higher process temperature applications, please consolt factory.

cse
Ambient Operating Limits: More Info - Ambient Operating Limits -40° to 140°F (-40° to 60°C)
AMBIENT OPERATING LIMITS

close This is the temperature range of the environment which the pressure gauge is able to operate within. If the pressure gauge should go above or below these temperature limits, the instrument will not operate properly.

cse
Ambient Storage Limits: More Info - Ambient Storage Limits -40° to 250°F (-40° to 121°C)
AMBIENT STORAGE LIMITS

close This is the temperature range of the environment which the pressure gauge can be stored. If the pressure gauge should go above or below these temperature limits, the instrument might be damaged.

COMPLIANCE

close NEMA 4 enclosures are used indoors and outdoors to house such items as electrical/ electronic controls, instrumentation systems, and pneumatic, hydraulic and machine tool controls. These enclosures are designed to provide protection against dust, dirt, oil and water. They are suitable for use in areas such as dairies, breweries and similar environments where they are subject to frequent high pressure hosing and generally wet conditions.

I P67 - IP means "Ingress Protection". IP67 enclosures are rated as "dust tight" and protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water.
